The 12th World Indoor Championship Valencia 2008 invites representatives of local, national and international media to cover this event. To facilitate this coverage, the Organising Committee will lay on a series of areas and services to the media representatives to aid them in their work.
The Valencia Exhibition Centre, situated only 150 metres from the Lluis Puig Velodrome, will house the Press Centre (more than 500 m2) which will have a press room with a capacity for 200 journalists. The Press Centre will include a rest area and catering, as well as all the technical resources required to cover the event; internet access, photocopying and printout availability, telephone lines, etc. Besides the press, radio and television boxes in the stands and the mixed area, there will also be a Press Conference room of more than 100m2.
ACCREDITATION
The 12th World Indoor Championships Valencia 2008 expects the attendance of more than 500 journalists from around the world. Media representatives can apply for accreditation by completing the form that they will receive in November 2007. Confirmation of media accreditation will be carried out on receipt of applications.
The closing date for accreditation will be the 15th February, 2008.
TRANSPORT
For members of the media who have accommodation in the 4 Official Press Hotels there will be an exclusive shuttle service that will transport them to the Lluis Puig Velodrome, as well as to the Airport on days of arrival and departure.
WELCOME DESK
A Welcome desk will be made available to members of the hall of each hotel.
